Food Corporation of India (FCI) – Zonal Office (North)

One of the important regional administrative centers of the Food Corporation of India is the Food Corporation of India (FCI)-Zonal Office (North), Noida. This body is a Government of India undertaking established by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution through the enactment of the Food Corporations Act, 1964. In addition to managing the distribution of food, the North Zonal Office is responsible for the enforcement of policies, administrative control, quality check, vigilance, finances, and personnel of the northern region’s branch offices. This office plays an important role in the national food security strategy of India by ensuring that farmers are provided adequate procurement opportunities, and consumers have adequate food supply.
