One of the important regional administrative centers of the Food Corporation of India is the Food Corporation of India (FCI)-Zonal Office (North), Noida. This involves coordination among warehouses, depots, transporters, purchasing agencies, and fair pricing centers to ensure national food security.

The corporation is also engaged in electronic governance of its various operations, which include tenders for purchases, procurement processes, stock control, e-auctioning, employee assistance programs, and logistics management portals. FCI has extensively utilized computerized systems in its supply chain management and grain management activities.

In addition to managing the distribution of food, the North Zonal Office is responsible for the enforcement of policies, administrative control, quality check, vigilance, finances, and personnel of the northern region’s branch offices. This office plays an important role in the national food security strategy of India by ensuring that farmers are provided adequate procurement opportunities, and consumers have adequate food supply.

FCI Zonal Office (North), which is located in Sector 24, Noida, Uttar Pradesh, is considered to be one of the most significant operating units for the corporation in northern India. It coordinates between numerous state-level offices, district-level offices, depots, and procurement units. This organization is one of the key entities involved in managing India's food grain stocks and providing efficient distribution in case of emergencies and natural calamities and social welfare functions.
